Most of us will go through our day not worrying about where our next drink of water will come from - it’s a resource we often take for granted. But for nearly one billion people worldwide, accessing clean water is a daily struggle.
Sweet Water Wells was created with one goal in mind: providing clean drinking water for children and communities without it. Just one well can provide a community of 250 people with clean water, renewing their chance at health, education, and a better life.
When you give to the Sweet Water Wells project, you can be assured that 100% of all funds donated will go directly towards providing children and communities with clean drinking water.
- 1 person out of every 8 is without clean drinking water
- Each year, over 3.5 million people die from diseases related to unsafe water and poor sanitation
- Women and children walk for hours each day to collect polluted water, making school and work attendance nearly impossible; diminishing their hope of conquering poverty
